One quiet day at work, whilst messing around on MS Paint, Stuart came up with an obscure looking piece of artwork. If you squinted hard enough, he argued, it looked slightly like a parrot. After making a few changes here and there, the original design for Scarlett (Parrot) was created. Other animals soon followed in a series of small abstract paintings based on the 'Scarlett formula'.
Instanly recognisable and ultimately unique, Stuart eventually honed these original paintings, adding eyes and smiles, to give the animals more character. Today the Gentle Planet range includes 20 animals (10 currently showing) with more designs in the pipeline.
